Jaime K. Hardy, Ph.D.
I am a Clinical Psychologist and practice in Lexington, KY. I have a Master’s of Science (M.S.) Degree in Physiology and a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Ph.D.) from the University of Kentucky. My specialty is in health psychology, which is about understanding the relationship between physical and mental health. Pain, emotional or physical, is a whole body experience and trauma, depression, anxiety, and chronic illnesses can all affect overall well-being, daily function, and relationships. My research has investigated aspects of self-regulation, and how different ways of managing emotions affect a person’s overall health. In therapy, this integration of physical and emotional well-being is a fundamental part of treatment.
